Although I have been letting property since 1990 it is only within the last 4 years that I have made property my full time occupation and in that time I have built up a successful property portfolio consisting of 20 flats.
My own personal strategy was to not to invest in the “expensive property hotspots” but in the areas which touched onto them which were more affordable and were on the rise. My term for this type of investing is “piggy back investing”, in other words, taking advantage of another areas’ growth and popularity.
